Short Video Contest by DLEC Project

The DLEC Project is excited to launch a video competition!

Feed the Future Developing Local Extension Capacity (DLEC) project is seeking video submissions showcasing innovative solutions to agricultural extension challenges. How are YOU contributing to strengthening agricultural extension? Tell us about it in a video!

DLEC wants to harness the power of videoto showcase innovations directly from farmers, youth, students, extension agents, private businesses, and others working to find solutions to challenges in the extension field. DLEC will select three winners, one winner per category: digital extension, youth inclusion in extension, and private sector extension.

Winners will successfully showcase innovative solutions in agricultural extension using creativity and compelling storytelling. The winning videos will be showcased at the DLEC Annual Community of Practice Eventtaking place virtually in mid/late April 2021.

This event brings together over 100 extension experts, academics, and practitioners from around the world! The winners will be invited to share their innovation or solution, showcase their video, and network with agricultural extension champions globally (including donor community, NGOs, academia, and private sector). The winner will receive mentoring and coaching in advance of this presentation.

•The video competition is open to applicants from all over the world, ages 18+
•Videos must be under 2 minutes in length
•The video must feature innovations or solutions to agricultural extension challenges
•Animated videos are allowedSelection
•The winning videos will be selected by a panel of DLEC staff and video/multimedia experts
•The winning videos will be chosen based on the videos’ success in presenting innovative solutions to agricultural extension challenges (see competition rules for selection criteria)

•Video entries are due on March 26, 2021.
•Winner will be selected and contacted by April 2, 2021
•Submissions will be made via a Google Form and must include signed entry form, signed consent forms and signed release forms as attachments, as well as the video uploaded.
•Video submission will be disqualified if entry form and consent forms are not attached.
