Staying fit is one major goal we all hope to achieve someday. Everyone’s set target seems to be having the perfect body shape. But, how about we tell you, that this can be achieved by adding these organic juices you can make at home to your menu?
We believe whole foods are a vital part of a healthy diet so, we don’t recommend using fruits or vegetable juices as a replacement for food, rather a supplement
So, we have compiled a list of organic juices you can easily make at home but before that, the first thing you’ll be needing is a JUICER!
There are two main kinds of juicers out there
- Centrifugal (Fast) juicers.
- Masticating (Slow or Cold-press) juicers.
The centrifugal juicers are fast-moving blades used to cut up or breakdown food while Masticating juicers are slow spinners used mostly to preserve the vitamins and nutrients found in fresh fruits and veggies.
Organic juices you can make at home for a healthy diet:
1. Green Leaf Juice:
This is a great way to start your diet plan. The green leaves contain cucumbers, spinach, half-peeled lemon, one apple and one small carrot all blended together … This juice is super refreshing and hydrating for the body. It could also serve as a detox mechanism.
2. Pineapple Juice:
This can be taken as a smoothie or juice. For pineapple smoothie, get a slice of freshly cut pineapple, add one medium green apple, cucumber and lime juice and blend to desired texture. For juice, simply sieve out the pulp. The sweet and juicy profile of pineapple gives it a dominating nature that makes it ideal for masking the strong flavours of vegetables.
3. Orange Smoothie/ Juice:
This orange smoothie gives me nostalgia. It was my favourite among all the other fruit smoothies. The orange liquid extraction is the primary ingredient for this cool drink. Slice the orange into four dimensions, add plain yoghurt, add vanilla extract (optional), and also add a teaspoon of honey or sugar to sweeten the smoothies, mix or blend to combine. Serve immediately. For juice, you can just extract the liquid using a juice extractor to get your plain orange juice.
4. Apple Juices:
Raw apple juice is one of the most refreshing & healthy beverages that is full of vitamins & minerals. To make, combine two apples with one peeled lemon, and two large carrots. Blend to desired texture. For juice, simply sieve out the pulp after blending.
5. Carrot Smoothie/ Juices:
Sweet and fresh carrots are one of the best vegetables to enjoy. Blended fresh carrots can go with freshly squeezed orange juice and yoghurt combined. It has a right balance of sweetness from carrots and tanginess from the orange juice. Start by adding already diced carrot and a little water, then add your squeezed orange and yoghurt, mix or combine until ready to drink.
6. Banana Smoothie/Juice:
It is hard to resist the sweet taste of a freshly made banana smoothie. It’s a great option for a simple breakfast smoothie or a delicious, healthy treat for a hot afternoon. To make, blend some bananas and add honey and vanilla yoghurt to give a lovely creaminess that is irresistible. Preferably, do not skip the vanilla extract. Blend and mix together. It gives the smoothie a precise depth of flavour that really sets it over the top.
7. Watermelon Smoothie Juices:
This is very simple and easy to achieve at home. It is made with lime juice, and mint or basil. But there are more smoothie-like versions that include milk and yoghurt. The best part is that you can use any type of milk and it’s best served when chilled.
8. Tiger nut Juice:
Tigernuts are full of sweet and nutty flavour. In fact, people all over the world have been using them to make creamy milk for centuries. The first step in making tiger nut juice is to soak in water for at least 24-48 hours. Sieve and add the tiger nut with water, add yoghurt (optional), add coconut then blend properly until ready to drink.
I hope this has given you enough inspiration to get started with your healthy diet!
