Kano Approves $.9m For Agricultural Development Projects

The Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has approved the release of over $900, 000 for agricultural development projects in the state.

The Managing Director, Kano State Agricultural Development Agency (KNARDA), Dr Junaidu Yakubu Mohammad, disclosed this on Sunday.

He said $500, 000 was for the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) while the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) would get over $400, 000 for the effective implementation of the Kano State Agricultural Development Project (KSADP) funded by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB).

The MD made this known during a training program on partnership building, participatory and extension approaches to strengthening the working relationships in actualizing the goals of KSADP, jointly organised by IITA, ICRISAT, KNARDA and other agricultural development partners in the state.
