FG to boost cocoa production, export with jute bag factories

The Federal Government has disclosed moves to boost cocoa production and export with jute bag-producing factories.

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Muhammad Nanono, yesterday, made this known during a courtesy visit by the leadership of Cocoa Association of Nigeria, CAN, at his office in Abuja. He maintained that the establishment of jute bag industries across the country following effort made by the government will ensure Nigerian cocoa meets international packaging standards, preservation, certification, acceptance and earning of more foreign exchange for farmers and exporters.

He further stated that the jute bag factories will also be for other sundry agricultural produce.
