            WHY WHITE MEAT

White meat is a pale meat such as poultry, veal and rabbit. With so much increase in crime, natural disasters and lots of health challenges in our society. There is a need to have some sort of positivity, a relief/ an assurance that something is actually going right. ‘Health is wealth’, they say a healthy person has something less to worry about.
One of the ways to a healthy living is good nutrition. Good nutrition gives you the energy and vitality to pursue all your fitness efforts and to ensure that your body responds to them optimally. Good nutrition has a direct impact on your overall health and quality of life. Having quality eating habits can reduce your risk of developing certain diseases that can severely impact on your health. Among these maladies are hypertension, diabetes and heart diseases, which is a leading cause of death in our society. To increase your chances of staying well, its best to stick to a healthy diet; try maintaining a good nutrition. We all know the adage, ‘you are what you eat’.
White meat is a great way of a having good nutrition. White meat has less saturated (bad) fat than red meat. Saturated and trans fat can raise your blood cholesterol and make heart disease worse. White meat also has less calories when compared to red meat and has various health benefits. This has created a vacuum in the demand for good nutrition of which white meat (poultry) is a serious contender. This demand is so enormous that we all have to be contributors to the solution, one way or the other.
With the ban in the importation of poultry (chicken) plus the increase in the demand for it. These have led to a shortage in the supply for chicken in Nigeria, of which Farmsponsor is determined to cub out such shortage in supply, thereby meeting the demand in the society. We can’t do this alone, we all can be contributors to this course of alleviating poverty, contributing to food security and also improving the health of all in our society.
